Maplewood Author Offers Career Talk
Dustin Dumas Weeks will discuss "Lessons From A Recovering Worker Bee" tonight.
Dustin Dumas Weeks, local television host and author of "Lessons From a Recovering Worker Bee" will hold a book talk 6 p.m. tonight at the Maplewood Memorial Library Hilton Branch, 1688 Springfield Ave.
Weeks, a financial technology writer and speaker, will discuss the lessons she has learned from years of working in the finance and investment industry, including jobs with SanDisk, Phoenix Technologies Ltd., ePhones and Hewlitt Packard in California, Danske Bank in Denmark, Dresdner Bank AG in Germany and Prudential Securities in Chicago.
Weeks said her is intended to help others overcome career obstacles and strike a balance between work and private life.

Other lessons included in the book include "asking for what you want" and "life is not fair, so get over it," she said.
Weeks is the host of the television show "Dustin’s Kaleidoscope."
