In Maplewood: Author to Speak About the 'Spirit of Ubuntu'

South Orange native Jacob Lief - the author of the memoir, ”I Am Because You Are: How the Spirit of Ubuntu Inspired an Unlikely Friendship and Transformed a Community” - will speak at Words Bookstore in Maplewood on Thursday, May 21, at 7:30 p.m.

Lief - the co-founder and CEO of the Ubuntu Education Fund, a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to serving vulnerable children in the Townships of Port Elizabeth, South Africa - will discuss his book and the nonprofit’s work.
