Maplewood Commuters Brace For NJ Transit Reductions, Town Updates Jitney Schedules

NJ Transit train riders should expect longer commutes and reduced service starting on Feb. 15.

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Maplewood continues to prepare for NJ Transit service changes coming in mid-February.

According to NJ Transit, train riders should expect longer commutes and reduced service starting on Feb. 15 when service is slashed in half for construction. The work likely means canceled trips to New York City when a track is moved from a century-old bridge over the Hackensack River to a newer bridge.

The changes will run through March 15 and impact all riders on the Northeast Corridor, except for passengers on the Atlantic City Rail Line. READ MORE: NJ Transit Slashing Service 50 Percent In February
