Maplewood Couple Behind Lorena’s Planning New Restaurant: Report
The owners of one of Essex County's most-praised restaurants are planning to open a new bar and grill in Maplewood, a report says.

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — The owners of one of Essex County’s most-praised restaurants are planning to open a new bar and grill in Maplewood, a report says.
Humberto Campos, the head chef and co-owner of Lorena’s Restaurant on Maplewood Avenue, told The Village Green that the new eatery, the Altopiano Bar and Grill, will be located at the former Highland Place space. (Read the full report here)
The new restaurant will open in the spring of 2018 and will feature cocktails, “high-end” pastas, steaks and seafood, The Village Green stated.

Lorena's – the brainchild of Campos and his wife, Lorena – has been a fixture on several “Best Of” lists for restaurants in New Jersey.
