Maplewood Cuts Off Gas-powered Leaf Blower Usage
Restrictions will remain in place in the end of September.
MAPLEWOOD, NJ - Commercial use of gas powered leaf blowers is prohibited now through Sept. 30, according to officials.
Maplewood Township's prohibition on commercial use of gas-powered leaf blowers started earlier this month and runs through the end of September.
Residents are instructed that if they see a commercial entity violating this law, call the non-emergency police number 973-762-3400, Code Enforcement at 973-762-8120, or the Department of Public Works at 973-762-1175.
