Maplewood Driver Arrested After Short Foot Chase On Bloomfield Avenue
The Maplewood resident had $3,600 worth of outstanding warrants, Montclair police say.
A Maplewood motorist was arrested in Montclair after allegedly leading police on a short foot chase on Bloomfield Avenue last week.
According to the Montclair Police Department, on Dec. 11, officers stopped Steven Hemmings, 26, on Bloomfield Avenue for a motor vehicle violation. At that time, Hemmings allegedly fled from the car, forcing officers to take chase.
After a brief foot pursuit, officers apprehended Hemmings, who was found to have outstanding warrants out of multiple jurisdictions totaling $3,600.
