Maplewood To Explain Potential Ridgewood Road Historic District At Workshop
Property owners can learn what HPC review covers, what's exempt and how the designation process works.
MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Maplewood residents can learn what a potential historic district designation would mean for the Ridgewood Road neighborhood at a community workshop hosted by the township's Historic Preservation Commission on Monday, June 22, at 7:30 p.m.
The session at The Woodland, 60 Woodland Road, will focus on preserving character and managing change in the neighborhood. Topics include what potential historic designation means for Ridgewood property owners; what is reviewed, expedited or exempt under Historic Preservation Commission review; and what happens next, including the designation process and opportunities for public input.
The commission describes the meeting as an information-driven, listen-and-learn session, with no decisions being made.
