Maplewood Firefighters Battle Border Blaze In Union
The call for help came to the Maplewood dispatch, officials said.
MAPLEWOOD, NJ - Maplewood firefighters were able to quickly beat back a border blaze in Union just a few feet from Maplewood, according to Maplewood NJ FMBA L-25.
According to officials the house fire broke out on Sunday night and the call came through Maplewood's dispatch. Maplewood and Union departments responded to the fire, which was on the border of both towns.
FMBA Locals 25 from Maplewood and 46 from Union worked seamlessly together to extinguish the fire, authorities said.

The fire was extinguished before it could spread to neighboring homes and no injuries were reported.
