$15 per person advance sale for the Combo Tag includes BOTH Circus and Fireworks admission. (Circus
concessions are not included). Available at Town Hall Clerk’s Office; Libraries Main & Hilton Branches;
Recreation Dept. in Town Hall & DeHart Park; Maplewood merchants in
Maplewood Village (Maplewood Stationery, Maplewood Theaters, No.165, Village
Wine Shop, Words Bookstore); on West Parker (Gleason’s Cleaners; on Springfield
Avenue (Edo’s Quality Cakes, HLS Juice Bar & Grill, and Park Wood Diner).

On July 4 at evening event entrance gates in Memorial Park Tags will be sold for $10 per person for admittance to EITHER the Circus only OR the Fireworks only.

Finish on Dunnell near Civic House 124 Dunnell. (Requires registration and
fee; watch for 5K flyer for information. Benefits CHS Cross-Country Team.)

8 am July 4th OPENING CEREMONIES
at Ricalton Square


8:15 am KIDS’ BIKES, ETC. PARADE

steps off from Ricalton with everything you can push, pedal or pull; decorated

red, white & blue; all ages.

9 am KIDS’ DASHES & RELAYS*

in Athletic field south of Oakview Ave.; 1st-2nd-3rd place ribbons.

—Kids’ Races require form
signed by parent or guardian. Other activities (Eating Contest, Baking Contest,
Pet Show and Adult Softball) do not require signed form. Forms are available at
libraries, town hall, recreation department and online at website  (www.maple4th.com)  and at school websites.

10 am to 2 pm CHS ROBOTICS CLUB

students display & demonstrate at Skate House.

10 am Participatory Community Pixel/Box ART PROJECT

by John Kaufman; all ages; sponsored by Memorial Post 10120 VFW & 1978 Arts

Center. Ballfield backstop south of Oakview near Valley.

11 am ICE CREAM EATING CONTESTS
in picnic area next to playground, sponsored and presented by Maplewood Rotary.

11 am TENNIS CONTESTS at Civic House tennis
courts: fastest serve and most accurate serve; presented by Maplewood Recreation Tennis Program.

11 am BAKING CONTEST in Town Hall; all
ages. Judging directed by Janet Crane. Baking Contest entries need to be at
Town Hall between 9–9:30 am.

— Note that there is NO ENTRY to fireworks

12 to 3 pm ADULT SOFTBALL in Athletic
field south of Oakview Ave., ball field near Valley and Baker.

12 to 3 pm KARAOKE by New Jersey DJ
Services LLC in Athletic field south of Oakview Ave.

12 noon KIDS’ PERCUSSION in Athletic
field south of Oakview Ave., presented by Ethical Culture Society and
Children’s Music Network.

12 noon PET AWARDS SHOW in front
of Town Hall: All Types, All Sizes! Support from PetSmart. Emceed by Art
and Willie Gartenlaub.

— One tag per person required for
admission to Circus or to concert/fireworks spectator area. —

1 pm & 3:30 pm & 6 pm Zerbini FAMILY CIRCUS
under the Big Top in Athletic field NORTH of Oakview. Rain or shine! 1st come,
1st served! No reserved seats! SEATING IS LIMITED so line up early!

4 pm LIVE MUSIC begins on lawn in
Athletic field south of Oakview Ave., perform until Fireworks. Picnic until
fireworks: Ice cream vendor; Blue Plate Special handcrafted meals; burgers,
hotdogs, sodas by Maplewood BSA troop 5. [Alcoholic beverages are not permitted
in Maplewood parks.]

9 pm FIREWORKS — Come early! Times
approximate. Parental discretion advised for small children and pets: consider viewing the fireworks from a distance. Rain date: July 5. (Circus and indoor events will be July 4, rain or shine).
