Maplewood GNO Runs Rain or Shine
Deluge or not, Girls Night Out is on for tonight in Maplewood Village with more than 40 participating merchants and restaurants.

The forecast tonight is for rain—and not the happy Weather Girls' "It's Raining Men"-kinda rain. But, ladies, never fear, says Maplewood Village Alliance manager Julie Doran, the Girls Night Out event will be tottering along on its stillettos throughout Maplewood Village tonight. Doran had these updates for us:
- In case of heavy rain, the Swag Bag Giveaway will be moved to the Maplewood Theater under the marquee. Otherwise, the Swag Bag Giveaway will be on the corner of Baker Street and Maplewood Avenue. There will be music by Tatiana Lima and free treats from Sona and The Able Baker during the Swag Bag Giveaway (Swag Bags will be available for the first 100 guests). The Swag Bags, we hear, are "chock-full of product samples and valuable coupons," including a Tenth Muse gift card, chocolate, a raffle ticket for the Maplewood Cinema, make-up samples, Anthony Garubo product discount card, free class coupons for Baker Street Yoga, discount coupons for Lotus Petals Florist, Bee & Thistle and many others, wine gift bags from Village Wine Shop and gifts from Perch, Little One & Co, and Village Belle.
- There are over 40 merchants participating (see attached). Many merchants are holding unadvertised sales tonight.
- In some locations you need to mention Girls Night Out to get the special or discount.
- Teresa Giudice's (yes, a real "Real Housewife of New Jersey") appearance and book signing at No. 165 has been moved from 7-9 p.m. to 8-10 p.m.
- There are raffles and giveaways all over town—just look for the stores with the pink and purple balloons out front.
