Maplewood Library Launches Library Card Design Contest

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — The Maplewood Library is inviting community members of all ages to showcase their creativity as part of a new Library Card Design Contest celebrating the one-year anniversary of its new building.

Participants are encouraged to create original artwork inspired by reading, learning, community, or the library's mission: "We connect people to information, ideas, culture and each other. We are open to all."

The contest features three age categories—Children, Teens (middle and high school), and Adults—with one winning design selected in each category by the Maplewood Arts Council.

Entries must be submitted by midnight on Aug. 2, and late submissions will not be accepted. Winners will be announced during the week of Sept. 7, and their artwork will be featured on official, limited-edition Maplewood Library cards.
