Maplewood Makos Swim Team Off to Impressive 6-0 Start
Next meet is at 6 p.m. July 15 at the Maplewood Community Pool.
Since the summer swim season began just a few weeks ago, swimmers for the Maplewood Makos team have been nothing but impressive, triumphing over Berkeley Heights, Mountainside (twice), Verona (twice), and South Orange.
In an extremely competitive field, swimmers in all age groups have performed brilliantly, and consistently to maintain their undefeated season. With two meets left, the push is on to see if they can hold on and finish without a loss.
Lead by Head Coach Carly Orput, a rigorous daily practice session at 7:15 a.m. has contributed to the swimmers being in top form. Swimmers approach each meet with a happy, energetic attitude that has become infectious amongst swimmers and parents, as they root for the team.
