Maplewood Man Charged With Robbery, Assault: Police

MAPLEWOOD, NJ - A 21-year-old Maplewood man was arrested and charged with robbery and simple assault on April 3, according to the Summit Police Department.

According to authorities, John M. Larrier was arrested and charged with robbery and simple assault. A simple assault charge is most commonly charged in cases of fights or minor injuries and generally carries a maximum penalty of 6 months in a jail and/or a $1,000 fine, according to statute.

Larrier was processed and subsequently transported to the Union County Jail where custody was turned over to their officers, police said.
