Maplewood Man Fatally Shot In East Orange

A Maplewood man was fatally wounded during a shooting on South Clinton Street in East Orange on Sunday night, authorities reported.

Ahmad Crudup, 22, was one of four men that were shot. He died at University Hospital shortly after midnight.

The three other victims – all in their early 20s - were hospitalized, but their wounds aren’t considered life-threatening, NJ.com reported.

Authorities have declined to release any additional details about the victims or the shooting, citing a pending investigation.

No arrests have been made as of Monday morning.
