In Maplewood: Mercedes Tires Stolen / Unlocked Cars Entered / Shopliftings

Editor’s Note: The following incidents are reprinted directly from the Maplewood police blotter, a listing of selected incidents that may not include the full scope of activity in the area. All of the following incidents are accusations, and all suspects should be presumed innocent until proven guilty.

September 1, 2015 - Thefts from Autos - During the overnight hours several unlocked vehicles were entered. Two vehicles on Burr Rd, one on Parker Ave and one on Park Rd were entered and items including change, a baseball hat and a GPS unit were stolen.

September 3, 2015 – Shoplifting - At approximately 3 PM, officers in the area of the Extra Supermarket were alerted that a shoplifter had just fled the store. Officers located and arrested Anthony Hagan, age 27, of Orange, for shoplifting.

September 4, 2015 – Shoplifting - At approximately 9 PM a female at the 7-11 on Valley St grabbed several packs of cigarettes off of the counter and fled the store.

September 4, 2015 – Shoplifting - At approximately 12:45 PM, officers responded to a reported shoplifter at the Walgreens on Springfield Ave. Officers located the shoplifter, later identified at Dominique Wheeler-Weaver, age 29, of Newark. She was taken into custody and charged with shoplifting.

September 4, 2015 - Theft of Tires/Rims - During the overnight hours, a Mercedes parked in the driveway of a S. Collingwood Rd residence had all four tires stolen. A second vehicle in the driveway sustained damage to its door lock and was entered.

September 5, 2015 - Theft from Auto - During the overnight hours, a small amount of cash was removed from an unsecured vehicle parked on Newark Way.
