Maplewood Police Celebrate Brave Women

MAPLEWOOD, NJ - The Maplewood Police Department aptly chose the April, Women's History Month, to honor the women employed there.

Posting a photo to their Facebook page, officials said they wanted to take a minute to "acknowledge the brave women of the Maplewood Police Department."

"Thank you all for your continued professionalism and dedication to excellence, the post said.

In the top row of the photo from left is Captain Dawn Williams, Detective Lieutenant Niheema Malloy, Officer Chian Weekes-Rivera and Sergeant Connie Fields. In the bottom row, from left, is Officer Lindsey Rella, Officer Selina Perez, Officer Diana Gil and Officer Sakina Duncan.
