Maplewood Residents Have Unmerry Day After Xmas: Stolen Vehicles

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — It wasn’t a very merry holiday for three Maplewood residents who discovered their vehicles stolen on the day after Christmas, police said.

According to the Maplewood Police Department, the following incidents took place on Dec. 26:

• Motor Vehicle Theft: During the morning hours a van was stolen from a parking lot on West Parker Avenue. It was recovered the same day in Irvington.
• Motor Vehicle Theft: Between 12:30 and 2 p.m. a vehicle was stolen from a home on Hillcrest Road.
• Motor Vehicle Theft: Sometime between Dec. 24 and 27, a vehicle was stolen from the 200 block of Rutgers Street.
