Maplewood And South Orange Hold Events To Help Those Over 60
The towns want to help seniors age in place. Events include a volunteer fair for all, a veterans benefits talk, and arts activities.
MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Maplewood and South Orange, recognizing the need for residents over 60 to stay in their communities, have developed the "Two Towns for All Ages" initiative to help residents age in place and stay healthy.
The initiative is "age-friendly," engaging members of all aspects of the community to help by providing resources and being attentive to older residents' needs.

Veterans Benefits And Resources, Feb. 28, 11 a.m., Maplewood Senior Center.
David Brimmer, from the US Department of Veteran Affairs Outreach Program and Social Work Service, will explain the range and scope of benefits for veterans of all ages, and answer questions.
