MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Maplewood Township welcomed a new police chief this month as Deputy Chief Niheema Malloy took over the position from Chief Albert Sally, who retired after 25 years of service to the community. Malloy's swearing-in ceremony was held on Tuesday, July 21, at Maplewood Town Hall. Malloy brings more than 25 years of law enforcement experience to the role and has served with the Maplewood Police Department since 2006. She holds a master's degree in human resources personnel management from Seton Hall University, is a graduate of Rutgers University's Certified Public Manager program, and has completed Northwestern University's Supervision of Police Personnel program.
