The Maplewood Department of Public Works is accepting applications for a full-time Jitney Bus Driver. Duties include but are not limited to: following a specified route daily, assisting passengers, record keeping (route attendance) and more. Applicant should possess a high school diploma or GED and valid driver’s license—CDL REQUIRED. Available for overtime if needed, and must be able to work independently. Mandatory background check, drug and alcohol screening, driver’s license check. Please see the job description below:

Under direction of the Jitney Lead person, as well as the Director and Superintendent of Public Works, operates a light duty passenger bus; carries out pickup and delivery of passenger assignments; performs related duties as required.

Appointees will be required to possess a valid New Jersey Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and passenger endorsement for the class and type of vehicle to be operated, issued by the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission.
