Maplewood Village's Open Market to Be Held Rain or Shine

The annual event will go on in any weather.

The weather experts are warning that there's a soggy saturday in store for Maplewood. Despite the possible showers, Maplewood Village's annual open market will go forward mostly as planned, Little One & Co owner Hanh Truong said in an email sent on the afternoon of Friday, Sept. 11. If it does rain, the bands scheduled to play outdoors will have to take the day off, and some other activities may need to be canceled.

We're hoping for SUN, of course. The street will continue to be closed—and we hope people will take advantage of the open streets for shopping, strolling and eating out. If it does happen to rain, we will not have the bands set up and may need to cancel some of the activities. That said, if you have tents or tables with umbrellas—we encourage you to use them and not let the rain discourage you. If it is heavy rain, we regret the event may be a wash out. Unfortunately, this is one of those things that is out of our control, but we can still make the best of it.
As with all events, please be mindful of parking and give our customers the convenience of priority parking.
