Maplewood Woman And Teen In Crash On Garden State Parkway
A 14-year-old girl was thrown from a minivan driven by a Maplewood woman on Saturday, the NJ state police said.

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — A 14-year-old girl was seriously injured after being ejected during a crash on the Garden State Parkway on Saturday morning, the New Jersey State Police said. A 51-year-old Maplewood woman was driving the minivan, they said.
Police on Monday would not release further details on the condition of the teen or the driver.
Police said that troopers responded at 9:31 a.m. on the Garden State Parkway south milepost 140.5 in Kenilworth.

They said that a Toyota Sienna operated by the Maplewood woman was traveling south when it struck the right guardrail, causing the girl to be ejected.
The vehicle then struck a concrete overpass support and an additional guardrail before crossing the roadway to the left and striking a concrete barrier median, police said.
