Medicine Stolen, Recovered In Maplewood

Police recovered the merchandise after responding to a shoplifting report at Walgreens.

MAPLEWOOD, NJ - A series of items taken from the Maplewood Walgreens on Christmas Eve were recovered by officers, according to the Maplewood Police Department.

Officers responded to the Walgreens, located at 1633 Springfield Ave., after receiving a report of a man exiting the store shortly after 4:30 p.m. without paying for medicine in his possession, police said.

Officers checked the area and were able to recover the items, but not locate the person who took them, police said.
