Memorial Day Parade Features BatMobile This Year
The parade starts at 9 a.m. from the parking lot of Columbia High School, winds through Maplewood Village and ends at Town Hall.

Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, veterans, parade floats, festively festooned bicycles and lots and lots of waving of the red, white and blue.
What more could you want?
Well, there is an exciting new addition to the Maplewood Memorial Day Parade this year on Monday, May 30 — a vintage Bat Mobile, driven by its owner, a former Maplewood resident and avid classic car collector.

Participants will include local war veterans, Maplewood Township Committee members, the Maplewood Committee for Servicemen and Women, Maplewood Glee Club, Columbia High School Marching Band, Scout troops, Classic Cars (including the aforementioned 1966 Bat Mobile), Rotary Club, Kiwanis, Maplewood Volunteer First Aid Squad, Maplewood Fire Department, and many more.

After the parade there will be a ceremony at Town Hall honoring those veterans who have passed away. A roll call of VFW members who died in the past year and the placing of the wreath will conclude the ceremony. (The at the Oakview Bridge in Memorial Park after the ceremony at Town Hall concludes.)
