The orchestra performs three times per year in Short Hills at the Community Congregational Church.
The Metropolitan Orchestra of New Jersey is looking for new musicians for its strings sections.
The orchestra, which performs at the Community Congregational Church in Short Hills, is entering its 39th season in the fall. Under the baton of Maestro Michael Stratechuk, the orchestra includes both professional and amateur musicians and performs three concerts per year in the fall, winter, and spring. The concerts feature orchestral works by major composers.
Rehearsals also are held in Millburn on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. to noon. The first concert is Sunday, Nov. 14, and the first rehearsal of the season is Sept. 12. The first concert's program will include a Rossini Overture, Beethoven's 5th Piano Concerto and Dvořák's 8th Symphony.
