Missing Elderly Woman Found In Essex County: Maplewood Police

Authorities have ended their search for a missing elderly Essex County woman who may have dementia, Maplewood police said.

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Authorities have ended their search for a missing elderly Essex County woman who may have dementia, Maplewood police announced Tuesday evening.

According to the Maplewood Police Department, an elderly female with dementia was reported missing and was last seen around 3 p.m. on Tuesday inside of a car parked outside Clinton School on Berkshire Road.

Police said that the woman is believed to be on foot. Authorities described her as a 69-year-old black female about 5 feet 2 inches and 110 pounds, with close-cropped salt-and-pepper colored hair, last seen wearing a black coat and tan boots.

The missing woman was located “in good health” Tuesday evening, police said.
