Missing Senior Citizen Last Seen In Essex County

The New Jersey State Police Missing Persons Unit and Plainfield Police Department are seeking a missing, ”at risk” person.

According to an alert sent on Tuesday afternoon, Mildred Buggs, 76, of Plainfield, was last seen in the area of downtown Newark on Aug. 17.

Police described her as a black female, 5 feet 6 inches, 170 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes, and grey/black hair. She was last seen wearing a lavender-colored jacket, tiger-print shirt and a black skirt.

She was initially reported missing from her home in Plainfield, N.J., on Aug. 5, and may possibly be headed to Treemont Avenue in East Orange, police stated.
