MVA Announces Spring Open Market

The open air event will be held on April 25

From noon till 7 p.m. on April 25, shops and restaurants in Maplewood Village will escape from their physical structures and take to the streets. The Maplewood Village Alliance is hosting the first ever Spring Open Market, where participating businesses are spending the day al fresco.

"The event will have a 'European feel' to it," Maplewood Village Alliance’s Amy Koehler said in a press release. “Maplewood Village is such a beautiful place where people come to shop, eat, meet friends or just take a leisurely stroll. With the Spring Open Market, we’ll be taking it all outdoors much like the wonderful towns and cities in Europe do.”

The release also said village merchants will have all new seasonal merchandise, including clothing, accessories, antiques, jewelry, house wares, fresh flowers, plants and more. But the day isn't just about sun and shopping, though. Street artists and live music will be on hand throughout the day.
