One Car Theft And 2 DWI Arrests In Maplewood: Police
A car left running was stolen and 2 people were charged with DWI in Maplewood last week, police said.
MAPLEWOOD, NJ — A running car was stolen and two people were charged with DWI in Maplewood last week, police said.
Police said that on Thursday, March 9, an unlocked Infiniti was left running in the QuickChek parking lot. It was stolen and then found in Newark "several days later," police said.
Last week also saw two DWI arrests in Maplewood, police said.

Police said that on Thursday at 10:30 p.m., Police Officer Kevin Angerville responded to the 7-Eleven at 1712 Springfield Ave. due to a report of a man asleep at the wheel in the middle of the parking lot, obstructing traffic.
After investigation on scene, Maplewood Police Officer Angerville arrested Bedins Victor, 32, of Orange, giving him a summons for Driving While Intoxicated. He was released to the custody of a family member, police said.

Then, on March 12, 2023, 8:52 p.m., Maplewood Police Officers Dolan and Alexander responded to the area of Millburn Avenue and Raymond Terrace on a report of a vehicle that was just sideswiped by another motor vehicle, police said.
After an on-scene investigation, Maplewood Police Officers Dolan and Alexander arrested Christina Manion, 44, of Eatontown. Manion was issued a motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with additional motor vehicle summonses, police said. She was released to the custody of a family member.
