Pair Of Shoplifting Arrests In Maplewood

MAPLEWOOD, NJ - A 47-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man were arrested for shoplifting on Jan. 9, according to the Maplewood Police Department.

At approximately 1 a.m., a man fled the Wawa with several Redbulls without paying for them, plice said. Authorities said police located Calvin Lacosta of Newark a short distance away. He attempted to elude officers, but was detained, arrested and charged with shoplifting, police said.

Later that day, at approximately 3 p.m. a woman left Walgreens with multiple items without paying for them. Officers were able to locate the woman, identified as Lakiesha Herrill of Orange, police said. She was arrested and charged with shoplifting, police said.
