PHOTOS: Maplewood FD Pulls Accident Victim From Vehicle

The patient was extricated and brought to the hospital for treatment, officials said.

MAPLEWOOD, NJ - The Maplewood Fire Department Platoon 1 removed a driver trapped in their vehicle after a motor vehicle accident on Friday, according to officials.

Officials said Platoon 1 responded to their tenth emergency response of the day, on a report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Upon arrival, personnel found one patient trapped in the vehicle, officials said. According to authorities, extrication operations began and shortly thereafter the patient was safely removed from the vehicle. The patient was treated and then transported to an area hospital, officials said.
