PHOTOS: Mrs. Lambert's Retirement Party
Arlean Lambert retires after 24 years as Marshall School's librarian.
Arlean Lambert was feted with an afternoon tea on Friday at Marshall School. Over the past 24 years, Lambert has turned the library into an enchanting Secret Garden for generations of students through hard work, humor and creative intuition about what works. She has inspired Pennies for Peace and TV turnoff programs, with the overriding message to read. The party was highlighted by kind words by parents and former students, and the composition of a song sung by the children: "A Garden of Stories."
Photos were taken by Holly Joyce Lehren, a sixth grader at South Orange Middle School.
