Prospect Church continues their 100th Anniversary celebration on Sunday, February 9, with two special events.
Worship at 10:30 a.m. will feature special guest, Rev. Jim Herrington. Rev. Herrington began his career as an associate pastor at Prospect back in 1966. He went on to receive his Master of Theology degree in Pastoral Theology and Counseling, later became a Board Certified Chaplain and was Chaplain/C.P.E. Supervisor at the Mobile Mental Health Center in Alabama, and later accepted a position at Delaware Psychiatric Center where he retired in 2002. He also served as chaplain in the NJ National Guard and the Army Reserves, where he retired with a rank of Lieutenant Colonel in 2003. He was mobilized for Desert Storm and was awarded the Bronze Star with oak leaf cluster for his ministry in Saudi Arabia.
The celebration continues later that afternoon at 3 p.m. when we celebrate Prospect's Music Heritage with "History & Hymns". Former Prospect music directors, Jason Asbury and Jaqueline Metsma will participate in the celebration.
