Society of Musical Arts Orchestra to Continue Concert Season in Maplewood Middle School

The Society of Musical Arts Orchestra (SOMA) continues its concert season on Sunday, March 6 at 4 p.m. in the Maplewood Middle School auditorium, located at 7 Burnett St. The scheduled concert, “Water Music, Revisited,” will feature music of Bernstein, Smetana, Elgar and Frazelle. The program will feature distinguished soprano soloist Katy Sumrow in Elgar’s Sea Pictures.

The SOMA orchestra has brought together friends, neighbors and musicians, both professional and amateur, all for the love of music, for more than 30 years. The public is invited to attend free of charge, made possible by funds from Investors Bank Foundation and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts administered through Essex County.
