Stolen Car Recovered After Maplewood Crash: Police

The car was stolen out of Irvington, police said.

MAPLEWOOD, NJ - A car stolen in Irvington was recovered in Maplewood after an early morning car crash on Oct. 11, police said.

Shortly before 5:30 a.m. officers responded to Orchard Road and Hillcrest Road to investigate on a report of an accident. When officer’s arrived they located a Chevy Equinox which was stolen out of Irvington that had crashed into a parked vehicle.

During the investigation, police noted three people were seen fleeing the scene of the accident, but authorities were unable to locate them.
