Summer Art Workshop Offered at Express Yourself Studios, June 19 - August 25, Register Now!

Express Yourself Studios located at 1877 Springfield Avenue in Maplewood will host a Summer Art Workshop program, open to children ages 5-12. Participants will experiment with a variety of media in a fun and supportive environment. Attendees are encouraged to use their imagination freely as they learn about Master Artists. The Summer Workshop runs June 19 – August 25, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

Workshop attendees will create 10-15 art projects per week. The projects will be inspired by a different Master Artist. The 2017 10-week schedule includes the following: Pop Art, African-American Artists, Women In the Arts, Cartooning, Sculpture, Mixed Media, Latin Artists, Sculpture, Asian Art, 20th Century Masters.

Children will learn about the Artists through discussions, examples, and art-making. Projects will include painting, drawing, mixed media collage and sculpture (relative to the artists). An exhibition and reception featuring students' artwork will be held at the conclusion of each week.

Express Yourself Studios is an art studio and art gallery dedicated to being an outlet for children and adults to express themselves creatively via classes in the arts.
