Tax Concerns? See If You're Freeze Eligible In Maplewood Tuesday
NJ Division of Taxation to speak about the senior tax freeze at Town Hall.

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Maplewood seniors may be eligible for some tax relief as the NJ Division of Taxation will offer a workshop for the Property Tax Reimbursement Program, aka “Senior Freeze” for residents 65 and over.
The offices of Assemblywoman Mila Jasey and Assemblyman John McKeon have arranged for the NJ Division of Taxation to speak about the senior tax freeze and answer questions on Tuesday, Oct. 9, at 10:30 a.m. at Maplewood Town Hall, located at 574 Valley Street.
Eligibility requirements are:

- Your income was less than $87,007 in 2016 and $87,268 in 2017
- You were age 65 or older as of December 31, 2016 or receiving Social Security disability benefits
- NJ has been your primary residence since at least December 31, 2013
- Your 2016 & 2017 Property taxes were paid in full by June 1 of that year.
If you have your “blue book” for the Tax Freeze, bring it. If not, books will be available.
