The benefits of goat milk for babies

Why goat milk is a healthy alternative to cow milk for your baby and lactose intolerant child.

Goats are cute. There's no doubt about that. And guess what? Their milk is good. Not only does it taste good (it feels fresh and natural) but it is also good for you... And your baby. Why, might you ask. Well, ask away!

  1. It is easier to digest. Goat milk is much easier to digest that cow milk as the fat molecules found in goats' milk are tiny in comparison to the ones found in cow's milk. This means that they are broken down effortlessly and are more gentle on your tummy.
  2. It is less allergenic. 50% of lactose intolerant kids can drink goat milk. It has less lactose that cow milk and its curd is much softer which makes it easier to process. Goat milk (like human milk) also contains almost no Alpha S1 casein protein, the allergenic protein that causes most milk allergies.
  3. It is nutritious and boosts metabolism. Goat milk is the closest alternative to human milk due its nutritious content. It contains more calcium, vitamin B6, vitamin A, potassium and the antioxidant selenium than cow milk. Goat milk also has more medium chain triglycerides (MCT's) which helps assist your metabolism and lower cholesterol levels.

So let's sum this up! Goat milk is better for little ones who are allergic to milk or lactose intolerant and it is gentler on your baby's stomach: intestinal pain, diarrhea and facial rashes do not need to be part of your child's routine anymore!
