'The Cowboy Dance' at Kindergarten Year-End Celebration
Seth Boyden's four kindergarten classes all performed for "A Celebration of Growing and Learning!" Ms. Brady and Ms. Rollin's class wowed with "The Cowboy Dance."
Friday, June 11, 2010, was the day for Seth Boyden Elementary School's kindergarten students to celebrate the completion of their first year of "real" school and prepare for moving up into the main school building—and first grade. The students celebrated by performing songs for their parents, enjoying a slide show prepared by Steven Davenport (South Orange police officer and husband of kindergarten teacher Maureen Davenport) and sharing refreshments with their friends and family afterwords.
The students really threw themselves into renditions of "Tingalayo" (Mrs. Aquiles' class), "Apples and Bananas" (Mrs. Davenport's class), and "If All the Raindrops" (Mrs. DeSarno's class).
Students from Ms. Brady and Ms. Rollin's kindergarten class had the parents laughing and clapping along with their rousing rendition of "The Cowboy Dance." Watch these kids really get into their work.

The students wrapped it all up with "Sunshine Day," a fitting finale to a year filled with light and learning—and a recognition that the children are more than ready to get out of the classroom and play out in the sun for a month or two!
