Thieves Take Keys From Maplewood Home, Then Swipe 2 BMWs: Police
Police said that someone stole keys from a Maplewood home overnight and made off with two BMW's.
MAPLEWOOD, NJ — The Maplewood police warned residents on Monday about the latest in a trend of people swiping keys from inside a home, then stealing the car — only in this case, two cars were stolen.
Police said that early Monday morning, someone entered a Fairview Terrace home through an unlocked window in back.
They took keys from the kitchen and used them to steal two BMW's parked there. They didn't encounter the homeowner, police said.
