Time is Running Out to Order Pies and Turkeys!

With a little more than a week to go until the big Thanksgiving feast, it's time to get those last minute turkey, pie and pre-made meal orders in.

Pete Kikianis at the Park Wood Diner on Springfield Avenue will make you a pie, any pie, any flavor--blueberry, apple, pumpkin, chocolate cream. He's even looking into mincemeat. And you can order up until Wednesday night. Pete's pies run from about $14.95 for the pumpkin to $18 for that chocolate cream pie.

Steve Crane at Crane's Deli is taking orders for Balthazar desserts and pies up until Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. The sweets run from $9 for a walnut ring to $26.50 for a sweet potato pie. Pick-up is Wednesday.

Both proprietors are also providing take-out menus of Thanksgiving meals and sides to pre-order for the holiday. Crane's offers carrot ginger soup, turkey gravy, cranberry relish, maple sweet potato puree, stuffing and more. At the Park Wood, you can order full Thanksgiving meals for $19.95 a person for a minimum of five people.
