Two Arrested Hiding In Vacant House: Maplewood Police

John Archibald and John Santana were charged with burglary, police said.

MAPLEWOOD, NJ - A 35-year-old Somerset man and an 18-year-old Bound Brook man were arrested and charged with burglary and conspiracy after an incident with Maplewood Police on Feb. 20, authorities said.

According to police, shortly after 6 p.m. officers responded to a home on Woodside Road on a report of two individuals inside of a vacant home. Upon their arrival, they conducted a search of the house and located two individuals hiding in the basement. John Archibald and John Santana were taken into custody and charged with burglary and conspiracy, police said.

Both were released on summons, police said.
