Video: A Peek Inside a Maplewood "Mansion"

Designer Ashlee Anthony and husband Brinton Brosius, contractor, show their Maplewood Avenue home.

The 19th Annual Maplewood House Tour sponsored by the Maplewood Rotary Club drew a dedicated audience to tour five homes this past Sunday--despite the iffy weather. The one home that everyone was panting to see was Ashlee Anthony and Brinton Brosius' home on Maplewood Avenue, which the couple purchased just this past April and beautifully and painstakingly restored.

The classic center hall colonial had suffered a fire in December 2008. When the previous owners contacted Brosius to renovate, he fell in love with the house and made an offer to buy it. The original floors and milling have all been preserved, but the kitchen was expanded with the removal of a staircase. Watch the video to see all the new fixtures and furnishings and hear the details as given by Ashlee Anthony, who is as lovely as her home.

Henry "Christian" Quaritius of Weichert Realtors was co-chair of the event with Carol Gilligan. Said Quaritius, "The tour was a great success!  It's a wonderful Maplewood day.  We are so grateful to the homeowner's who allow us to show their homes.  We had five amazing homes this year, two of which underwent complete renovation in short periods of time.  The feedback has been awesome. The tour continues to be a great fund raiser for the Maplewood Rotary's local Beautification Fund."
