MAPLEWOOD, NJ - Seven candidates have filed for three open seats on the South Orange-Maplewood Board of Education, igniting a race leading into the November election, and all participated in a candidates' debate by the Hilton Neighborhood Association on Friday.

This year the seats of Stephanie Lawson-Muhammad, Johanna Wright and Susie Adamson are up for grabs. Looking to take their spots on the dais are Narda Chisholm-Greene, Thair Joshua, Erin Siders, Carey P. Smith and Sharon Tanenbaum Kraus.
