MAPLEWOOD, NJ — A woman was robbed at gunpoint by two men in ski masks while walking home in Maplewood Tuesday night, police said.

Police said a 25-year-old woman flagged them down Tuesday night, around 9:10 p.m., saying she had been robbed at the corner of Parker Avenue and Cherry Place.

She said that while walking westbound on Parker Avenue, a black Honda Accord pulled up next to her and two men in ski-masks got out of the vehicle and confronted her.

She told police that one man grabbed by her backpack and threw her to the ground, then pointed a semi-automatic handgun at her head and stated, “give me everything you got, b----!”

They took her backpack and iPhone 11, then kicked her while she was lying on the ground, police said.

Police say the men entered a waiting black Honda Accord and fled eastbound on Parker Avenue into Irvington.

The woman did not sustain injuries, police said, and refused medical attention.

She described the men as black, approximately 5’ 9” in height, and between 18 and 20 years old.
