1 Pedestrian Dead In Marlboro Car Crash: Police
A 64-year-old male was struck by a car and killed on U.S. Route 9 on Monday, police said.

MARLBORO, NJ — A male pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on Monday on Route 9, authorities said.
The pedestrian was identified as a 64-year-old male resident of Aberdeen, Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office Spokesman Mark Spivey said. The pedestrian was pronounced dead on the scene.
The driver was identified as a 19-year-old male resident of Old Bridge. His condition is currently unknown, Spivey said.

The collision took place in the early afternoon of Monday, Feb. 28 on Route 9 North and Willow Lane. The northbound lanes of the highway remained closed for several hours as an investigation took place, Spivey added.
The circumstances behind this incident are still being investigated by members of the Prosecutor’s Office and the Marlboro Police Department.
