Crash Closes Road In Monmouth County: See Where

Police are asking drivers to avoid the area and use an alternate route.

MARLBORO, NJ — A road closure is in place Friday morning due to a motor vehicle crash, Marlboro Police said.

According to police, the road from Route 79/Ryan Road to the Freehold Township border is closed due to the crash.

The road is closed in both directions and involves a downed utility pole, Freehold Township officials said.

"Expect this closure to last throughout the day," officials said.

Police are asking drivers to avoid the area and use an alternate route while the road is closed.

Updates will be provided as they become available.

"We appreciate your patience and cooperation while emergency personnel work in the area," police said. "Please drive safely."
