What drove you to seek public office?

Marlboro is a great town and the place we chose to raise our family. As a homeowner and parent of two young children who will soon enter our public school system, I want to help preserve the traditions and values that make this community special.

I've lived in multiple states and worked my way up through a small business. From graduating college and living in an apartment to owning a home and raising a family here, I've had the opportunity to build my own American Dream. I want to give back and help preserve those opportunities for the next generation.

I believe accountability matters, and elected volunteer positions should be filled by caring, engaged neighbors who have Marlboro's best interests at heart. I'm seeking office because I want to contribute my experience, listen to residents, and aid in the success of our schools.

What sets you apart from the other candidates?

My commitment to accountability and the practical experience I would bring to the board set me apart. Accountability is central to our campaign because I believe it should mean something: taking responsibility for decisions, following through on commitments, and answering for the results. That expectation shaped me growing up and throughout my own education. I now carry these values in my life, both personally and professionally.

My work centers on budgets, schedules, and sales. I earned my way through the ranks by managing projects both small and large. Experience has taught me to work through difficult situations, examine details, and use facts to find solutions.

At local board meetings, I have sometimes seen emotion and personal positions overshadow thoughtful discussion. I care deeply about our kids, but caring also means being willing to question your own assumptions, listen to different perspectives, and make decisions supported by evidence. I would bring that approach to the board, with our children's education and the interests of the community guiding my decisions.

What are past accomplishments or experiences that make you qualified for this position?

My experience includes serving on Marlboro boards and committees, participating in local elections, and making decisions that affect others. I believe in following through on the commitments I make while campaigning and being accountable to the people I represent.

During my first year at Rowan University, I ran for and won the position of Freshman Class President. I also served as a voting member of the executive board during a period of growth for the university. That experience gave me an early understanding of leadership, collaboration, and the responsibility of representing others.

Professionally, managing projects, budgets, and schedules has strengthened my ability to evaluate options, solve problems, and make responsible decisions. Over the past several years, I have watched and studied school board meetings, listening to the challenges raised and how the board addressed them.

I would bring proven leadership, fiscal responsibility, and a common-sense approach to the board, with an emphasis on academic achievement, respect for parents, and accountability for how taxpayer dollars are spent.

If elected, what will be your top priorities in your new role?

My first priority would be a thorough review of the school budget. Following the recent substantial tax increase, residents deserve a clear account of how their money is being spent. I would work to identify waste, question unnecessary expenses, and make tough, responsible decisions while protecting high-quality classroom instruction. Supporting the needs of our children, teachers, and school staff is paramount.

I would also prioritize resolving outstanding issues with clear timelines and accountability for follow-through. Addressing lingering problems would allow the board to devote more attention to continually improving student achievement and making our schools the best they can be.

My focus would be straightforward: responsible spending, strong academics, and measurable results for our children and taxpayers.

Name one thing about Marlboro that always makes you smile.

Marlboro's community and family events always make me smile. Seeing neighbors come together, kids having fun, and families enjoying themselves reminds me why we love living here. Those moments capture what makes our town special: a strong sense of community and pride in the place we call home.
