Anti-Semitic graffiti was spray-painted on a stop line and on a tree in the immediate area of the Marlboro Jewish Center this week.

MARLBORO, NJ — Anti-Semitic graffiti was spray-painted on a stop line and on a tree in the immediate area of the Marlboro Jewish Center this week in Marlboro Twp., Marlboro police announced.

Marlboro police announced the incident Friday evening.

The spray paint was found in the area of the Marlboro Jewish Center on School Road West. The Twp. is considering this a bias intimidation incident.

“Marlboro Township will not tolerate any form of discriminatory behavior including anti-Semitism within our borders," said Mayor Jonathan Hornik. "Those responsible for these heinous acts will be identified and prosecuted to the full extent of the law. As a diverse community, Marlboro residents of all religions and backgrounds stand together against racism and anti-Semitism in all of its forms.”

The Police Division is investigating the crime and is asking for the public’s assistance in locating those responsible.
