Authorities ID 80-Year-Old Man Killed In Marlboro Crash

MARLBORO, NJ — Authorities have identified the 80-year-old man killed in a crash on Route 79 earlier this month.

Harvey Sattleman, 80, of the Whiting section of Manchester Township, died following a crash on Sept. 11 at the intersection of Blossom Avenue on Route 79.

According to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office, Sattleman's 2002 Toyota Camry Solara was going south on Route 79 when it entered the opposing lane, colliding with a 2022 Ford F-350, which was going north.

Following the collision, Sattleman was rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

The driver of the F-350, a 52-year-old man from the Port Monmouth section of Middletown, did not sustain life-threatening injuries.

An investigation involving members of the Prosecutor’s Office, the Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART), and the Marlboro Township Police Department is ongoing.
